A new survey shows that mobile and social are powering a retail surge around the globe.

The IAB Global Report, which surveyed users in 19 countries, found that 60% of global mobile purchasers often discover products and services on social platforms.
Over one third of respondents used social media to share their mobile purchase experience.
While credit/debit cards and online payment services are the most popular payment methods.
Aussie trends
The report also revealed 76% of smartphone and tablet users in the APAC region have purchased a product or service on their mobile device in the past six months.
Almost half (45%) of Australian respondents purchase using a mobile device every month, and make one third of their typical monthly purchases on-the-go.
While 59% of Aussies surveyed said they expected to increase their mobile spend over the next six months.
