Since LinkedIn was snapped up by Microsoft back in June, things have been a little quiet over at the social network for professionals. Presumably there were many documents to be signed and champagne to be swilled.
Now the dust has settled, LinkedIn has rolled out its biggest update since the acquisition: Influencer videos.
Under the Influence
Over 500 LinkedIn Influencers have recorded 30-second clips sharing there thoughts on everything from work trends to workplace culture and innovation.
We bet there’s a Pokemon Go video out there somewhere.
So far heavy hitters such as Guy Kawasaki and Naomi Simpson have posted videos.
Font of knowledge
If you’re following an Influencer who posts a video, it will appear in your feed.
You can also post comments on the video, and view what other Influencers say about related topics.
Engage me
The move seems like a sound one for LinkedIn.
While it’s Influencer network is well-established, making the insights more engaging and snackable could work in boosting engagement.
