Facebook is preparing to launch several new ways users can purchase products on mobile.
Shopping trolley
Facebook announced the news in a blog post.
"Marketers are challenged to reach their customers and drive sales on mobile.
"The majority of time spent on mobile is in apps, and people spend the majority of that time in just a handful of apps, including Facebook and Instagram."
Helping hand?
In the following weeks a Shopping section will begin appearing on the Facebook app, while new fast-loading ads allowing a more seamless purchase experience are also in the works.
More from mobile
With three quarters of Facebook's revenue now generated from mobile advertising, making the buying process more seamless might help boost the social network's coffers even more – as well as helping retailers along the way.
If you're a retailer would you use Facebook's new mobile features? Let us know in the comments.
