If you want the official hot tip on how to best produce video content and to succeed on YouTube, the fresh re-launch of the Creators portal is for you.
Community and coursework
The majority of the page space is taken up by a bunch of community-fostering content, including Ambassador programs, gamified achievements and ranks, Q&A forums and Events listings.
But, probably the most immediately practical element of the portal is the collection of subject-specific training videos ‘designed to inspire, challenge, and build your skills as a creator’.
They call it Academy, and it has over 30 courses (each with multiple lessons) spread over 70 hours of content.
Makers' makeover
In practice, the new version of the Creators site is more about redesign than innovation. It has made pre-existing information more discoverable and added some extras in along the way.
What’s more, it looks like they intend to keep it fresh with new and contextualised content over time.
YouTube says this all came about through genuine consultation and collaboration with creators, so you’d hope that it really is a practical resource. Check it out and let us know whether it works for you.
When it comes to sales analysis, how do you like your intelligence: organic or artificial?
