Mentors connect in Facebook Groups

It's about to get a whole lot easier for users wanting to achieve a particular goal with a bit of community guidance thanks to Facebook’s new Mentorship Groups.

Last year Facebook successfully piloted Mentorship through Groups, testing with particular interest groups.

Success stories like that of Mama Dragons, a support mother group for members of the LGBTQIA community, have shown the mentoring aspect of Groups to be truly untapped potential.

Master

The process is simple: Group admins create a mentorship program, then users sign up and are matched with their accompanying mentor or mentee depending who is looking for whom.

Pairs are introduced through program steps in their Groups section, and can share and comment on posts communicated through the app and Messenger.

Both sides have guidance every step of the way from Facebook. And with privacy and safety in mind, the feature is only available to users 18 and older. May the workforce be with you.
