LinkedIn has just released an update that lets users view how their profile ranks compared to colleagues, connections and competitors.
Popularity contest
LinkedIn announced the update, called “How You Rank”, in a blog post.
“Today we’re introducing a new feature as part of Who’s Viewed Your Profile to help you see where you stack up relative to those in your network. With the new “How You Rank” tool, you can now see where you stack up to others in your network with profile views,” wrote LinkedIn’s Dmitry Shevelenko.
Competitive streak
With “How You Rank” users can now see the top performing profiles in their network, and how they stack up.
The feature is intended to give members inspiration from other high-flying users on how to enhance their own profile and content.
LinkedIn also offers tips on easy ways to increase profile views.
Like Me
The ‘Who’s Viewed You Profile’ is one of the busiest places on LinkedIn. By adding a bit of competition to the mix it might just become the network's most popular feature.
