Google has just updated its Search app on Android, making discovering content buried in apps easier to access.
Searchable
The new search mode, called In Apps, can be used to dig up all sorts of useful data.
The search is performed entirely on your phone, rather than sent to remote servers. This means search is quicker, and none of your data is shared.
For example, you can now easily access contacts and messages, organise your tasks and notes, and call up content such as songs and video.
Mobile movement
At the moment In Apps is only compatible with Android devices, and works with apps including Gmail, YouTube, and Spotify.
Google says over the coming months it will add Messenger, LinkedIn, Evernote, and Todoist to the In Apps library.
